Class Session
Central Question Ideas
- “How does knowing that something was created by AI change people’s emotional or aesthetic reactions to it?”
- “In what ways does disclosure of AI authorship affect trust, appreciation, or judgment of creative work?”
- “Do people perceive AI-generated art differently before and after they learn it was made by a machine?”
- “How does authorship (human vs. AI) shape our interpretation of creativity and authenticity?”
- “What happens when the illusion of human creation is broken?”
I plan to show participants a series of images or short pieces of content generated by AI without telling them the source. I’ll ask for their immediate reactions: what they think, how they feel, or how they would rate the work. Then, I’ll reveal that the content was made by AI and record how their opinions or emotions change. My focus is not on building a tool, but on observing shifts in perception, authenticity, and trust once AI authorship is disclosed.
