ITP Winter Show Poster (Draft II)

In the second version of this poster, I wanted to move away from the 8-bit type treatment and lean into something bolder and more fluid. The new typography uses a strong italic style paired with orbiting shapes, giving the text a sense of motion and energy that reflects ITP’s culture of experimentation. After listening to feedback from the class, I decided to have the letters play into the curve of the grid background, making them feel like part of the space rather than just placed on top. This adds more depth and makes the composition feel more dynamic and intentional. I also refined the grid itself to create a cleaner structure that frames the design and evokes the feeling of stepping into a digital environment.

Looking ahead, I plan to re-edit this for the Winter Show poster submissions and improve the legibility of the event text on the right side. Adjusting the spacing, scale, and alignment will help balance the playful type with clear information, making the final version both visually striking and easy to read.
